2008 August
August 2008 - A Note from APTi’s 2008 President, Jane Kise
Dear APTi Members:
Minnesota summers tend to help me develop more Perceiving skills--why set a schedule when every mild summer day (there are never enough) should be spent on a bike or a beach. And why plan menus when you're never sure which family members should be home? But somehow APTi business continues regardless of the weather. I'd like to inform all members of two significant news items.
First, the APTi Board approved a new strategic plan, click here to view. We are concentrating on three major areas:
- Restructuring our training programs to ensure profitability in an ever-changing market
- Building strategic partnerships within the worldwide type community, concentrating on ways to improve value of APTi membership.
- Providing infrastructure and opportunities for members to share information, experiences, and resources for psychological type.
The plan contains specific initiatives for 2008 and 2009 in each of these areas. Your Board members have worked hard to create doable action steps to ensure that their ideas become realities.
Second, as part of restructuring our training programs, we will cease to offer qualifying programs after 2008. Let your colleagues and customers know that our fall MBTI® qualifying programs will be their last chance to receive this training from our outstanding APTi faculty. Throughout the rest of the year I will be communicating with members about the shape of APTi as we move out of MBTI® Qualifying and focus more precisely on applications training and on providing value to our members.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
