The Center for Applications of Psychological Type (CAPT) is a non-profit organization co-founded in 1975 by Dr. Mary McCaulley and Isabel Briggs Myers, the author of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument. CAPT publications, assessments, and training workshops emphasize the positive benefits of personality diversity and development, and support understanding, insight, and growth for thousands of people and organizations throughout the world.
CAPT publishes several assessments: the Murphy-Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children® (MMTIC®) assessment, developed to measure children’s psychological type preferences; the PMAI® (Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator®) instrument, the world’s first scientifically validated archetype assessment tool; and the Klein Group Instrument® for Effective Leadership and Participation in Teams (KGI®) assessment, which assesses a range of behaviors that are essential for effective leadership and teamwork.
