Exploring the J-P Lifestyle Difference: A Panel of Couples - Karen Keefer
Saturday, May 08, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM PDT
Category: APTi Chapter Events

This program is presented by the Bay Area Association for Psychological Type (BAAPT) chapter.

The Judging-Perceiving dichotomy, sometimes called the “lifestyle difference,” has a reputation for driving people – couples, family members, roommates, work colleagues - up the wall faster than any other preference pair.  When one person wants to make a decision and the other wants to keep options open, or when one person wants to organize life in some way while another wants to go with the flow, the end result can be frustration.  How can these differences be reconciled?

Expert help is at hand!  Members of our own type community are prepared to share from their years of personal experience living and loving with the J-P difference.  Come hear from them about the blessings and challenges of this preference combination, and learn how they have overcome type-related difficulties in their households.

We will begin with a brief overview of what the J and P preferences are all about.  Then we will look at some specific areas of life, and our panel of experts will share their lived experience of this difference.  Come experience “type in action” and learn ways that both sets of needs can be accommodated.

This presentation is geared to ALL levels of type knowledge.
